This is a nice late war Wehrmacht M31 Canteen and Cup (Feldflasche 31 und Trinkbecher). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931. The red painted steel canteen and black leather straps are all in overall good used condition with normal age and usage toning. The canteen is complete with its late war gabardine cover with 3 press-studs. The red painted steel canteen is nicely maker marked and dated 'MN44' indicating production in 1944. The green-painted steel cup is maker marked and dated with 'MN43'. Both the canteen and cup are showing matching engraved soldier's initials. Nice original late war canteen in good used condition!
