WH (Heer/Luftwaffe) M35 Map/Dispatch Case Map Sleeve (Einsatz für Meldekartentasche M35). Map/dispatch cases were issued on a limited basis to specifically designated personnel such as unit commanders, messengers, and observers. The M35 map/dispatch case was based on the Weimar era Reichsheer pattern map/dispatch case with minor variations. The M35 map/dispatch cases were issued with assorted map reading tools, instruments and accessories. This is a map sleeve which was carried inside the map case. Made of dual sided clear celluloid with a machine stitched white/grey leather outer frame with an opened top edge. The sleeve is nicely maker marked by the company 'E.G. Leuner G.m.b.H.' from Bautzen and dated 1942. Nice example in good used condition!
