Luftschutz Medal '10'

Description

Air Defence Honor Badge (Luftschutz-Ehrenzeichen 2.Stufe). The Air Defence Decorations were instituted by Adolf Hitler on 30 January 1938, in two classes for award to German national personnel serving in the RLB (Reichs Luftschutz Bund), the SHD (Sicherheits und Hilfs Dienst), the Werkschutz, and the Ordnungspolizei, who had participated in the civil air defence of German from January 1933. The medal is the heavy weight zinc version and is complete with its original short piece of ribbon as found, the details on the medal are really pronounced and stunning. The medal is maker marked with number '10' indicating production by the company of 'Förster & Barth' from Pforzheim. Nice example in good used condition!
