WH (Heer/Waffen-SS) 'Kuban' Campaign Shield. The Kuban Campaign shield was awarded to personnel, in all branches of service, who had served in the defensive battles in the Crimean peninsula from February 1943 onwards. The shield was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 21 September 1943. The shield is complete with its original 4 prongs and metal back-plate, mounted on a piece of fieldgrey wool. This piece has great detail and the overall condition and bronze finish are still very nice. The shield does not show a visible makers-mark. Nice original example in good used and clearly uniform removed condition!
