Cased NSB table-medal 'Lotsverbondenheid'
Cased NSB table-medal (or plaque) 'Lotsverbondenheid 10-14 mei 1940'. The Dutch "Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging" (National Socialist Movement) was founded by 'Anton Mussert' in December 1931 and was a Dutch pro-German Nazi Party. These pieces were known in Dutch language as 'Lotsverbondenheidspenning', where handed-out to all NSB-party members that had been arrested and resided in captivity during the German attack on the Netherlands (which as surely known, took place from 10 to 14 May 1940 and ended one day later). These plaques - which were awarded to NSB members at a fairly limited scale - were executed in genuine bronze and show stunning detail overall. The medal has a diameter of 4 cms. The medal comes in its original slightly damaged case marked with '10-14 MEI 1940'. Hard to find original cased NSB table-medal in good condition!
