Set of 3 'Jeugdstorm' Contribution Stamps
This is a nice set of 3 used original 'Jeugdstorm' contribution stamps. The 'Nationale Jeugdstorm' (NJS) was a Dutch youth movement shortly before and during World War II, inspired by the German Hitler Youth. The organization was formally separate from, but in practice had close ties with the NSB. Two '10 cents' stamps are printed with an image of a boy trumpeting with an orange background. These stamps are also ink-stamped with a gull (the symbol of the NJS). The other '50 cents' stamp has 'In Godsvertrouwen alles voor 't Vaderland' (the motto of the NJS) printed on it with a blue and orange background. The stamps measure approximately 4,5 x 3 cms in size. These stamps were placed in the 'Nationale Jeugdstorm Steunkaart' (Contribution Card). Nice colorful set of Nationale Jeugdstorm stamps!
