WH (Heer) Medical Officer's Field Blouse Grouping
Wehrmacht (Heer) Officer's Field Blouse (Feldbluse) as intended for an army medical 'Assistenzarzt' (Heer Leutnant Equivalent). The German Officer’s service tunic followed the basic design of the Enlisted Men/NCO’s field blouse, the most readily visible difference (besides the insignia) are the turned up French cuffs. This is a nice quality, 'privately purchased' M36-style field-grey wool tunic with dark-green collar. The buttons are all the field-grey pebbled examples. The tunic is complete with all original applied insignia, including a nicely French made Officer's type breast-eagle, machine sewn officer's type collar tabs and a pair of sew-in type officer's shoulder boards indicating the rank of an army medical 'Assistenzarzt'. Both the collar tabs and shoulder-boards are piped in the blue 'Truppenfarbe' (branch colour) indicating the 'Sanitäts-Truppen' (Medical Branch). The shoulder-boards are having medical Aesculapius cyphers attached. The tunic is not visible maker marked or dated. The tunic comes together with a nice pair of stone grey (Steingraue) Breeches, the breeches are complete with tailor label and nicely dated 1936. The tunic is in overall very good condition with minimal traces of usage and only some minor damages. The tunic comes together with an original brown leather officer's belt (Zweidorn). The belt is nicely maker marked by the company 'Springer & Co' from Berlin and dated 1942. Stunning original Medical Tunic Grouping!
