1st Pattern Step-in type Luftwaffe Paratrooper Smock (Fallschirmschützenbluse) also known as 'Knochensack'. This is a rarely seen first pattern step-in type smock, made of brown fabric (braunmeliert). The smocks were designed to fit over the standard service uniform and are therefore quite large. It is complete with all functional zippers from different brands like typical early seen 'Prym', 'Elite' and 'Rapid'. The smock is nicely maker marked and size 'Gr. II A' marked, it is not visible dated but dates around 1940. The smock has been period shortened, the legs have been shortened, it is however still a step-in type smock, see photos. The breast-eagle is missing. The smock is showing clear traces of usage/staining and some small damages, see photos for details. The smock is in overall good used condition. Brown coloured step-in smocks are hardly ever offered for sale and one of the rarest types of smocks to find. Hard to find desirable original early combat worn Fallschirmjäger smock!
