U.S. 9th ‘Ghost’ Airborne Division Patch. The United States Army created a large number of notional deception formations that were used in a number of World War II deception operations designed to make the Germans believe that the US had more Airborne Divisions than they did prior to D-Day. The badge is nicely machine-embroidered showing a correct wartime white back. Rare original patch in very good condition!
