Cased for Widows and Parents (Ehrenkreuz für Hinterbliebene) with Miniature. The Hindenburg Cross was instituted in three forms on 13 july 1934 as a service medal for soldiers who participated in world war one. It was also the first decoration created by the Third Reich. The Cross for Widows and Parents was awarded to the relatives of those who were killed during the First Worldwar. The Cross comes with its original ribbon and comes in its original brown coloured etui, the etui is showing some traces of usage, see photos. On the inside of the case is printed 'Treue um Treue, von Hindenburg'. The set comes together with a nice miniature cross in very good condition. Rare original set!
