WH (Heer) EM/NCO's Belt & Buckle

Description

Wehrmacht (Heer) Belt and Buckle (Koppel und Koppelschloß mit Lederwiderhalt). On 24 January 1936 this new pattern EM/NCO’s belt buckle was officially introduced to replace the previously worn Weimar era Reichsheer buckle. The basic design of the Reichsheer buckle was retained with the addition of the new Wehrmacht style national eagle. This pattern buckle was worn through-out the Third Reich period with minor manufacturing variations and different colored finishes. The colored finish was determined by regulations depending on what form of uniform it was to be worn with. Nice fieldgrey painted aluminum construction metal box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is complete with its original leather tab, maker marked by the company of 'St. Merkl' from Nürnberg and dated 1939. The buckle comes together with its original 98cms long sized leather belt as found together. The belt is not visible maker marked or dated. The belt is in used condition, some additional holes have been punched into the leather, see photos. Nice original set as found together!
