Luftwaffe Single Decal M42 Combat Helmet
Luftwaffe Single Decal M42 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its rough textured, blue-gray paint and about 75% of the decal. The paint shows normal wear and scratches caused by usage and the helmet shows some light surface rust. The helmet might have been cleaned once. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact, the liner is size '59' marked. The liner drawstring is a replacement. The shell is marked with maker and size 'ET66' which indicates production by the company 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' in Thale/Harz. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '1831'. Nice original Luftwaffe helmet in good used condition, priced accordingly!
Luftwaffe M42 Gevechtshelm met één plaatje (Stahlhelm M42). De stalen M42 helm bevat nog het grootste deel van zijn originele blauw-grijze ruwe verf en ongeveer 75% van de decal. De verf vertoont normale gebruikssporen en krasjes door gebruik, de helm is wellicht ooit schoongemaakt. Alle drie de splitpennen zijn intact en aanwezig. Het binnenwerk van de helm is een M31 leren binnenwerk met alle acht de vingers in goede staat, het binnenwerk is maat '59' gemarkeerd. Het binnenwerk koordje is ooit vervangen. De helmschaal is gemarkeerd met maker en maat 'ET66' wat productie aangeeft door de firma 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' in Thale/Harz. Achterin de binnenzijde van de nek van de helm staat ook een serienummer gestanst '1831'. Mooie originele Luftwaffe helm in goede gebruikte staat, netjes geprijsd!
