This is a nice Wehrmacht M31 Canteen and Cup (Feldflasche 31 und Trinkbecher). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931. The red painted steel canteen and blackened leather straps are all in overall good used condition with normal age and usage toning. The felt cover is in good condition. The canteen is nicely maker marked and dated with 'FWBN43' indicating production in 1943. The bakelite cup is nicely maker marked with 'gfc' and dated 1941. The leather straps are made of recycled leather parts, see photos. Nice original late war canteen in good used condition!
