Luftwaffe Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains almost all of its early Luftwaffe-gray paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage. Both decals are in good condition with some normal damage and scratches caused by usage, the early first pattern drooptail Luftwaffe eagle is present for about 95%, the national shield for about 90%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact, the rivet in the reverse is missing the washer. The interior of the helmet is an early M31 leather liner with single aluminum liner-ring, all eight fingers are present, the liner is a size '56'. The liner is maker marked by 'Schuberth Werke A.G.' from Braunschweig and dated 1936. The liner is complete with original liner cord. The shell looks to be marked with maker and size 'ET64'. 'ET' is indicating production by the company of 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' from Thale/Harz. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '2827'. There is a nice unit stamp inside the dome. Stunning original early M35 DD Luftwaffe helmet in good used condition, these are getting increasingly hard to find!
