Luftwaffe Flight EM/NCO's Visor Cap 1938
Luftwaffe Flight/FJ EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is privately purchased visor cap, the cap nicely maker marked by the tailor 'Kürschner- und Mützenmacher Genossenschaft' from Rheinland-Westfalen and dated 1938, the cap is size 54,5 marked. The cap is having the yellow 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger) and/or Flight personnel (Fliegendes Personal). The leather sweatband is in very good condition. The inside of the sweatband is nicely unit marked. The cap is complete with its original early aluminum cap-eagle and cocarde. The eagle is a first pattern eagle with drooptail. The simulated leather chinstrap is in good condition. The cap shows minimal traces of years of storage and is in overall very good condition. Stunning original Luftwaffe visor cap!
