 Luftwaffe General's Crusher-style Visor Cap (Schirmmütze für Generale). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is privately purchased Officer's style visor cap which has been upgraded to a General's rank, gold piping has been sewn on top of the silver officer's piping. The sweat-diamond is nicely maker marked by the company 'Traugott Rahne' from Hannover. The leather sweatband is in used and slightly damaged condition. The cap is complete with its original hand-embroidered general's type cap-eagle and a general's type hand-embroidered cocarde, both originally hand-sewn to the cap. The cap is having a leather crusher type visor. The cap is in truly worn condition showing traces of usage. Stunning and desirable original Luftwaffe General's crusher-style visor cap!
