 Luftwaffe M40 Single Decal Camouflage Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M40). The steel construction M40 helmet retains most of its three-tone tan/brown/green 'Normandy' camouflage overpaint, a Luftwaffe decal looks to be faintly visible beneath the paint. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact and the original liner cord is present as well, the leather is in good condition. The liner is approximately a size 55/56. The shell is marked with maker and size 'SE64'. 'SE' is indicating production by the company of 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' from Lauter. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '10029'. The helmet is complete with its original leather chinstrap, the chinstrap is marked with a RB.Nr. De stalen M40 helm bevat nog het grootste deel van zijn originele driekleurige zandgeel/bruin/groene 'Normandië' camouflage verf, onder de verf lijkt vaag een Luftwaffe decal te zitten. Alle drie de splitpennen zijn intact en aanwezig. Het binnenwerk van de helm is een M31 leren binnenwerk met alle acht de vingers in goede staat en ook het originele touwtje is aanwezig, het leer is in goede staat. Het binnenwerk is ongeveer een maat 55/56. De helmschaal is gemarkeerd met maker en maat 'SE64'. 'SE' is de code van de firma 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' from Lauter. Achterin de binnenzijde van de nek van de helm staat een serienummer gestanst '10029'. De helm is compleet met zijn originele leren kinriem, de kinriem is gemarkeerd met een RB.Nr.
