Rare original Waffen-SS EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. SS Officers and certain senior NCO ranks were responsible for purchasing their own uniforms and headgear. This is a nice quality, privately purchase, field-grey wool/tricot blend construction Waffen-SS EM/NCO's type visor cap, the cap features a wide, black woolen centerband and white wool 'Waffenfarbe' piping to the top of the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the black woolen centerband. The interior of the cap is complete with its original celluloid sweat-diamond, the sweat-diamond is nicely maker marked by the famous 'Peküro' company. The brown coloured leather sweatband is in good used condition, the sweatband is marked 'E/Spezial' and with size '55'. The cap is complete with an original zinc type cap-eagle (missing one prong) and cap-skull (Totenkopf). The cap is in clearly heavily worn condition showing clear traces of usage and some moth damage, see photos. The cap is having a great combat worn shape and look.
