WH (Heer) 'Panzer' NCO's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) 'Panzer' EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is in a nice quality EM's privately purchased visor cap, the celluloid sweat diamond is nicely marked by the company of 'Otto Schlientz' from Straubing, the cap is approximately a size '55'. The leather sweatband is in good used condition, the cap is nicely unit marked underneath the sweatband for the 'Pz.Abw.Abt.10' (Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 10). The Visor cap is piped in the pink 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Panzer personnel. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cocarde and is having a zinc-type cap-eagle attached, the cap eagle might have been replaced in my opninion. The blackened patent leather chinstrap is in good used condition. The cap is showing some minor moth damages and showing normal traces of usage, see photos for more details. The cap is having a nice shape. Great and scarce original early Panzer visor cap!
