Description

German 'Mitglied d.N.S.D. Ärztebundes' Enamel Sign (Emailleschild). This rectangular sign (Hoheitsschild) hung on the wall of a doctor who was a member of the 'N.S.D. Ärztebund'. On 3 August 1929, during the Reich Party Congress, the NSDÄB, also known as the NSD-Ärztebund (Nationalsozialistischer Deutscher Ärztebund) was founded on the initiative of the Ingolstadt doctor and publisher Ludwig Liebl. The National Socialist German Medical Association did not see itself as a professional organisation, but as a combat organisation. The NSDÄB was the third combat organisation in the NSDAP, alongside the SA and the SS. Its headquarters were located at Karlstraße 21 in Munich.. The enamel is showing normal traces of usage and some small damage and repair in one corner, see photos. The enamel sign is not visible maker marked. The sign is measuring approximately 30 x 7 cms. Rare and hard to find original enamel sign in good condition!

This enamel sign originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
