WH (Heer) Administrative Official's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze für einen Wehrmachtsbeamten). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased example. The celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') is missing, the cap is maker marked by the famous 'Erel' company. The cap has no visible size markings, the cap is approximately a size 56. The Visor cap is piped in the darkgreen 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for administrative personnel. The leather sweatband is in good used condition, a folded piece of newspaper is beneath the sweatband, dated 9 May 1941.The cap is complete with it's original early aluminum cap-eagle and cocarde. The cap is having an officer's type chinstrap. The cap is in good used and worn condition showing normal traces of usage and some minor moth damage, see photos. The cap is having a nice shape.
